NTC Issues Type Approval Certification
for eReach Emergency Base Station

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued the Type Approval Certification for Entropy Solution's 10W eReach 2G/GSM Emergency Base Station on February 18, 2019.

A Type Approval or Certificate of Conformity is granted to a product that meets a minimum set of regulatory, technical and safety requirements and is required before a product is allowed to be sold in a particular country. Entropy Solution is a local company that offers products and software development in telecommunications and network operations.

The Entropy Solution’s product may be considered as the first Filipino-developed telecommunication product that was issued a Type-Approval Certification from NTC and tested using local testing facilities such as the Electronics Product Development Center (EPDC) under DOST-ASTI’s EPIIC program and Omni Solid Testing Services.

The tests include Electromagnetic Emissions using EN55022/CISPR22 and RF Spectrum using ETSI EN301502, performed at the EPDC facility inside the MIRDC Compound, Gen. Santos Avenue, Bicutan, Taguig City. The EPDC facility provides electronics product prototyping (EPP), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and parametric testing using global standards instruments.

Product Safety Compliance Certificate using EN60950 was issued by Omni Solid Testing Services, another local testing facility, located in Bicutan, Paranaque City.
